Making tiny little boxes

I'm making good progress with the little boxes that will form part of the advent calendars. This is what I want them to look like:

I want it to have a lid so the kids feels as if they are actually opening a little present and I will then decorate it with a Christmassy type of picture on the front as well as a number for the little box and then for good measure (or rather to make sure the kids don't peek), tie a string around it so it will look like a little Christmas present. Then each time the kids opened one, they can put the lid underneath the little box and it will be easy to see which ones they have opened and how many still left.

First I drew my templates (one for the lid and one for the box) onto green cardboard and then I started cutting them out (enough for 48 little boxes - 24 for each calendar):

And here we are - 48 little boxes awaiting their lids which I need to fold and stick today:

Still a bit more to do today, but I'm getting there :-)
