15 Days to go...

Tonight's activity was simply to have a games evening. We love playing games (the electronic and non-electronic kind) and tonight's was a non-electronic kind :-). And in fact Terence goes to a boardgaming club once a month where he meets up with a bunch of other people who all play a number of different kind of boardgames. Some very strategic, some just for fun and the nice thing is you get to try these boardgames without having to buy any of them until you find one you really enjoy and then you might want to buy it for yourself.

Because Caitlyn has an earlier bedtime than Bianca we played something suitable with her first. We were going to play Go Fish because that is one of her favourite games she is able to play, but because half the cards are somewhere buried between Bianca's books and toys, we ended up playing a Memory game. Caitlyn loved it. And she wasn't all that bad either.

Caitlyn was so excited each time she managed to get a matching pair:

And at one point when Bianca was busy winning, she was so kind and she hinted to let Caitlyn know where to find some more matching pairs. What a wonderful big sister!

After Caitlyn went to bed, Terence, Bianca and I played Bang. There are 2 games we really enjoy playing - one is Carcassonne Hunters and Gatherers and the other Bang. Tonight Bianca asked to play Bang. It is a pretty cool card game where there are different people like a Deputy, Sheriff, Outlaw and so on and you then have to "eliminate" a specific player by playing cards like "bang" (which is to shoot another person) and this person might have a "missed" card and so on. It is a pretty cool and very easy game to play. It is more fun with more players and we do remove some cards because we are only 3 people, but it worked fine and Bianca had a great time!
